    UNDO file size

Constantly getting box that says "Warning! The undo file length is xxxxx bytes. Undo will be automatically disabled at 1750000000 bytes to prevent overflow. You can clear the undo file by turning undo off and then on again via the undo command."  This is very aggravating.

Use UNDO-CONTROL-NONE, then UNDO-CONTROL-ALL, list in Taskbar UNDO empties and it works again for a short while, but then I cannot undo past this point.

This box popped up once during a command and caused Civil 3D to lock up, causing me to lose work.

Web search does not find much help.  Does anyone know a fix, how to address this, or how to increase the file length so I do not get this message?

Are you short of space on the drive the temp files are stored on? Have you tried clearing the temp folder.

I had cleared the temp folder under my user name (accessed by typing %TEMP% in the windows command line), and it did not help.  However, I just found that my temporary drawing location is set to C:\TEMP.  I just cleared all files from that folder.  Do you think this will help?

    BTW, Windows 7 64-bit w/ Civil 3D 2013.

It's the Autosave path that holds the AutoCAD temp file location.as.PNG

That may be C:\Temp or elsewhere. Don't know if it will help until you try it. It's the first thing to try though.

Actually I do not believe I have gotten this error a single time since I cleared that Temp folder.  However, I have not had to work any more in the drawing that was most troublesome for me with this error.  Presuming the occurrence of this error is not somehow related to being in a certain drawing, I may have it fixed.  I will post back if it does happen again.

I am having the same error

Clearing the Temp Files will fix the problem untill the Temp file again fills up and you will see the saim error

when that happens just save your file close cad and clear the temp filder again

if i find a better solution i will post it

only happens in large files in my experiance

    regards
