Sub-assemb lies have moved to 0,0,0

Today I opened my design which I saved yesterday with no problems. I noticed when I zoom/extend it, that most of my subassemblies were moved to 0,0,0. There was no way of restoring it by moving it back, as all subassemblies were put on top of each other and there is no way of telling wich one was attached where. Even when I tried to moved them, they were thrown all over the place.
This is the second time this has happend now and I lost the best part of a day to effectively re-design the whole scheme. It is a large carpark which I am doing with corridors and it involves a large number of assemblies as well as targets.
I find this quite extraordinary that this is even possible. Has anyone ever had this? Any fixes? Any known causes? I am getting increasingly frustrated with how unstable C3D actually is. Now with this happening, it is just a ticking timebomb before the job gets screwed up and have to start from scratch :/

I have never had this happen. Can you post the drawing in which the subassemblies have moved? If too large to post, feel free to email direct miff AT sonic DOT net

I have seen this before, but not recently. Select one of the subs, right click and try the Clear Offset in Assembly command if it is in the shortcut menu. You may have to go through all of the subs and do this one at a time.

I have attached one of the smaller schemes this has happened on. It is not so bad for this one as I will redo this one in a different way anyway.
One thing to note is that the subassemblies used are custom ones, made with the SAC.
The Clear Offset command works only if I move the subassembly from its current 0,0,0 position. It will then move it back to 0,0,0.......
I am fairly new to C3D, so bare with me on the design approach I have used in the attached file, but feel free to suggest a different approach.... ![]()
EDIT: The file is too big to attach, so I have emailed it to you instead.
Thanks
