Slope analysis with Civil 3D

I'm just getting into Civil as new projects arise. I have enough points to build a surface, and can generate elevation maps etc. I now need to generate a map showing different gradients (1 in 12, 1in 9 to 1in 12 etc). Is this easily achieveable?

You would need to set up an analysis theme in the surface properties. Go to
the analysis tab and select the slopes category under the Analysis type drop
down selector. Set ranges and colors for the slopes in the legend settings
and range details. Look into the help topic for surface analysis settings.
