Hi all,
I am using Civil 3D 2005 but when I am going to draft a component of a road ( such as corridor,) the bydefault value its taking not in our country standard (that is Indian Road Congress Standard). Can anybody know in which standard followed in Civil 3D 2005 design?
Can anybody tell how can I get a civil 3D 2005 which works in Indian Road Congress Standard & what I have to do ?
Please Help.

I don't believe the defaults are set to any one specific standard. You can
set defaults any way that you would like for just about every command or
option in Civil 3D. Go to the Settings tab of Toolspace, right click on the
top level drawing icon and select "Edit Drawing Settings...".
Hope this helps,

Hi,
The default settings will obviously have been made by Autodesk to reflect
USA drafting practices.
The system however was designed to allow for local customisation by going
through the settings options and creating values to suit your needs, then
saving the resultant drawing as a drawing template.
If you start every new drawing from that template, then your standards will
be in place.
There are hundreds of items which can be changed, so you should allow some
considerable time to make the settings the way you need them. As you are
looking to meet a National standard, it would seem that it would be worth
discussing this with your dealer, to see if assistance can be given, or if a
group task could be organised.
In Australia, Rad Lazic has prepared a template drawing to reflect
Australian drafting practices and this can be readily downloaded from our
web site. Rad has updated this template on a number of occasions as he
refines it.
