    Profile labels mostly inactive.

I'm probably missing something simple, but I AM missing it. I have a drawing with a profile consisting of 2 surfaces creates by imputing CL shots from hardcopy, creating a Featureline through the points then offsetting the featurelines and using those original and offset lines to create 2 surfaces. I created an alignment and cut a profile through the 2 surfaces. Finally I created a Free Vertical Curve (PVI Based).

I'm now trying to label the vertical curve. I have a style Sag Only that I usually use. But with this curve it doesn't behave the way I expect. When I try to edit the style. Most of the fields are inactive. I opened another drawing were I knew I had used the style and it behaves as expected. I tried dragging the style into my current drawing but id still doesn't work.

The first screen shot is from the drawing where it is working. The second is from my current drawing.

Any way you can post the drawing or email it?

Whole drawing is pretty big. I wblocked out what is involved with this part. One of the problem I have is that we didn't do the original survey or design and I don't have all that.

    Thanks.

Weird, It's like it isn't getting all the setting from the parent? I did get 3 errors on an audit, but that didn't change the label problem.

I did get it fixed by copying the "Sag only" child style and then it updated all the missing info. I then just deleted the old one and renamed the new one. Not sure why it was bad though.

Thanks for looking at it I'll try that in a while.

This whole project is WEIRD. I just got some info from the Surveyor. It was in a Land Desktop drawing and in feet. I used a Map query to bring it into meters. The weird thing is that it looks like the first dozen points had the elevations converted to meters in the database but not on the screen. No conversion should have happened at all.

Well. That's what makes like a challenge.

I tried that but wasn't successful. The options for the components are available in the new style but don't seem to have any affect on the display. I don't have the time to go any further on it. This isn't a set of plans, just a revision for construction.

    Thanks for the help.
