Lets start out by saying this did not happen in any other version of Civil 3d. We recently did a computer upgrade to our office. So when it came time to reload civil 3d, we chose to go with 2012 version. All was fine until I had to reimport an fbk.
I will typically start out by stripping the control loop out of the fbk file and balancing and making a text file of the loop (backup). Then I will bring in the rest of the location on to the balanced loop. If for some reason I need to reimport those locations for some reason it will remove any control points occupied in the last fbk file. Please let me know if something has changed or if the fbk file looks in correct.
Any help is appreciated

No Still having the same problem. I have a work around, strip all control in to one fbk file and and all sideshots into another fbk file. I need to import the control file into one Survey Network (control) and then import any other fbk file into a different network (sideshots). Seems to be the only way to fix this.
Not a good remedy on large scale jobs that continue to grow.
Seems like a little to involved and should be easier.
