    Pipe label - Dimension Look

    Hi Folks,

    I am trying to create a pipe label in PROFILE.

    I need a HORIZONTAL line from Pipe start to Pipe end.

    I need an expression to calculate the proper length of the line in profile.

    The pipe is offset from the Alignment and occasionally at a different bearing from the Alignment so the {2D Length - Center to Center} does not work for the length of the line.

    I tried the suggested method at from Chris at civil3dreminders but the length seems only to work when the pipe is on the alignment.

    Any help would be appreciated, thanks

    Not sure that I understand what you want here.  You say that you want a horizontal length, but not the actual 2d length of the pipe - is that correct?

    If you are looking for a 2d distance along the profile then you could use {Pipe End Station}-{Pipe Start Station}
