    Hello There,

just a quick question.. is there anyway i can print my dwg. with white polylines.. even though my paperspace is in black color??

i have a google map as xref image and i drew bunch of white polylines showing the street... but when i convert the dwg to PDF or print it, those white polylines change to black lines.... How do i fix that?? and i am using Autocad 2012 Version.

An immediate assistance would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Shiny

Set the color of the polylines not to AutoCAD color 7, but to RGB 255,255,255.

Is color for objects set to Bylayer? Did you set the layer to AutoCAD Color 255 or True Color 255,255,255?

If by White you mean nothing printed on a white background. You can set a color in a CTB to 0% shading and set the lines or layer to that color. That will yield white lines or text on an aerial.

    No, allen

by white, i mean to say i have one layer with white color and i have changed its true color to RGB 255,255,255.

But, when i select the plotter as DWG to PDF.. and preview my dwg.. those white lines change to Black color lines...

i dunno how to fix that????

Pick the objects, go to Properties and look at the color. What does it say? If it says Bylayer, these objects take on the color of the layer. If set to anything else, the layer color makes no difference. If the objects are set to White, you would not notice that their color does not change when you change the layer to 255,255,255.

On top of what Tim said, you should also check that you don't have viewport layer overrides, which could set the layer to display a different colour in the viewport than it does in model space, or different in paperspace than the modelspace colour.  Check if it is highlighted in blue in the layer dialogue, or type VPLAYEROVERRIDESMODE.

I agree with Allen.  I think that's what you're looking for.

Go to your plot style table,  pick a color (I use 100), change the screening to 0, save the changes to your table, then change the color of the lines you drew over the aerial to new color (100, or whatever you picked).  It should plot white.

    Good luck,

    Rand
