OK, I have found were the settings are for the precision, but now can not seem to get the bearings in the format I want.
I went to the General_Formating.xls file and removed the space after all the bearing directions, so that it read "N" instead of "N " but it still comes up with the space, and there are also spaces between the deg min sec, and I have the settings so that it's all short form.
