Depends on what information you have in the file
If you just want to create sections from the data you need the strings and the geometry as this is only what MX stores.
If you dont have surfaces, you can of course create them yourself.
Personally keep the data in one file and datashortcut the data out and draw the sections in seperate drawings.
So if the data changes you can simply delete the data in the file, import and hit save.
All your sections will update.
