First convert your color image to mono TIFF compression CCITT (thru the free Irfanview) then turn TRANSPARENCY=ON in the image properties.

My image is all ready a tiff. Turning the transparency on didn't work. Any other suggestions?

The command is "Idepth" and B for bitonal. If you use the ribbon it's on the Image Processing section, Change color depth on the image tab. I assume you have Raster Design seeing you want to use the line follower tool.

IDEPTH was exactly the command I was looking for! Thanks :smileyhappy:

    Hi,

may I ask where the command is defined? In my AutoCAD 2013 or Map3D 2013 or Civil3D 2013 it always tells me "unknown command"!

You have to have the Raster Design software program installed for the IDEPTH command.
