How to create a well-detailed cross section of an Alignment

    Hey,

I have been using the "Create Surface Profile" to create cross sections of a road at various points using separate alignments (at the various points).  I was wondering if there was a more sophisticated way to do this?  When comparing my work to other plans it seems that this method is juvenile...Thanks.

Juvenile?   I think you're just using the wrong tool.

I think what you're looking after is this:  You want sections at an interval, or various places along your road?

    1. Make an alignment of your road
    2. Make sample lines - you can specify where these will fall on your alignment.
    3. Make section views
