Long time forum helper/poster, Richard 'Sinc' Sincovec was admitted to the hospital in pretty bad shape last night with an illness affecting his liver and kidneys. Please, whatever prayers, thoughts, vibes, you can send his way, his family and myself would appreciate them.

When I know more, I will post more.

It was a real pleasure to meet Richard at AU last year and chat, especially since I used to be a "Civil" guy myself.  My thoughts are with you Richard and your family, keep up a positive spirit and know we are all pulling for you!

Just a quick update to say I haven't heard anything new. I sent Sinc a message earlier, but he has not yet responded. I believe his sister is flying out tomorrow, so hopefully she will call me once she gets settled in.

Got off the phone with Jim Sincovec about 20 minutes ago. Doctors have just told him they don't expect Richard to make it through Christmas. Nothing short of a miracle will help now....

At a loss for words, sorry.

What can one say at such awful news other than our hopes and prayers go up in search of a true Christmas Miracle!

Thanks for keeping us up to date with the good and the not good......

I was sitting at home last night watching the news from Newtown, USA.  They finished off the report by playing the song Amazing Grace and showing pictures of children along with their names and ages.  I sat there with my arm around my wife and cried.  I think sometimes this is the only appropriate response to a situation.

Not enough good news in this world.  Or enough miracles, or prayers.

Get well soon Sinc, we need you around here.

As for the children, they're not in any pain.  It's the ones who are left that need all our help and prayers.

Well, no miracles this time. At approx. 7:45 p.m MST, 12/18/12, Richard left us for the everafter. I know, from seeing all of the posts here and at theSwamp and speaking with others at AU, he will be greatly missed.

Richard, thanks for first helping me on the old newsgroups and the Swamp forums, then becoming 'net friends, and finally meeting face to face and allowing me to have some input with the SincpacC3D. I learned a lot from you every step of the way, and I will continue to grow from it.

R.I.P. good friend.
