ERROR: Could not instantiate AecDict!

When I open a certain file, I get hundreds of these messages.  I wonder why AEC is in C3D?  I thought that pertained to Architectural flavors of Acad.

Can you provide any further details?

AEC = Architecture + Engineering + Construction (I think).  Meaning a whole bunch of things get combined into one.  The AEC classes are roots for Civil 3D, Map3D, ADT, and more, I think....  Revit would also be logically included, but that had a different genesis, I believe, and so Revit is kind of a special beast, althought it also shares similarities, due to the common Autocad heritage...

I'm rambling, I know.  In any case, more details of your problem would be helpful.

Yes I'm getting the same message in ACAD 2012 LT on a windows Vista 64 bit machine. Everytime I switch between layouts in some files, but not all. Looks like othersare having the same problem.

Looks like there are no solutions, yet??

I was on the C3D forum, talking about this problem (I did not realized that google lead me there)... C3D also has the same problem. It has something to do with the objects/points in C3d that become problematic and unstable.

You can try to repair the ACAD Civil object enabler. found in the add/remove/change programs in the control panel. failing that uninstall the program. If you uninstall it, you will get a warning at the begining asking how to view the objects.
