    EG Profile

I need to extend the existing ground profile. I previously had stopped the profile at 25+00 as shown in the attached. However, I need to add on another 100' to 26+00. I can only view info in the Profile Properties. I can't change the end station.

How do I get it to extend?

    Thanks.

Select Profile View, Right-click, choose Profile View Properties, then the Stations tab.

First thing. Are you adding 100' to 25+00 or 26+00?

    1. Not sure in your "picture", why is the existing ground missing from Sta
    25+00 to 26+00?
    2. You can always use the line command and draw it.
    3. Turn on your triangles and make sure you have a surface where your
alignment crosses since it should be showing in your "picture" if that is
    the case.

That doesn't extend the actual profile itself, only the profile view, i.e. gridlines, etc.

I need the surface profile to be extened.

When I originally created the surface profile I stopped it at 25+00. The surface continues to 46+00, I just didn't need all that extra profile. I'm only designing 1000' of road.

You cannot modify an EG profile using the layout tools either. I believe that because it is surface dependent using the line command is not an option.

Create a new surface profile from 25+00 to 26+00

If you extend your alignment your EG profile will also extend.

As an earlier poster noted, extending the alignment will automatically add the necessary EG profile to your profile view.

To further expand on my item 3. in my earlier post. You may have a "hole"
or no existing ground in your Surface along this alignment..

If you extend the alignment and the profile view gets larger without the
surface profile getting larger then you are either missing surface data
under the alignment or the profile has lost it's link to the surface. Add
    data or resample the profile.
