Everytime i try to paste onto the other file. it's asking for the insertion point. But it doesnt show after that. Under the command line, "its saying the Pasteclip Duplicate definition of Block ignored". I don't know why is it saying that?????

We need more information. Are you trying to copy blocks or Civil3d structure objects?

i clicked on a block and select similar and then copy with base point. when on to another drawing, click paste.
But, nothing works.
All it says is the" pasteclip duplicate definition of block XYZ ignored"
Is there anyway i can paste the block from one drawing to the other????

So you already have a block with the same name in the destination file. The blocks insertions that you copy and paste will therefore use that definition, instead of the one from the source file. This means that the objects pasted may be at a different scale or look completely different than what you expect.
Another possible problem would be if the block is Annotative, and your drawing scales don't match. If the setting for display of Annotative objects at all scales is turned off then the blocks won't show.

the annotation visibility is turned ON on both the drawings, also the drawing scale is same in both of them.
i can't just find the block when i paste it on 2nd drawing. its not small or pasted far away or something, its just not showing at all....
P.S i don't think i have the same block n my destination file. But when i try to use the insert command, it doesnt show up either. and because there are soo many manholes in need to put on my destination drawing. i was prefering to just paste all of them at once from one dwg to the other...
Also, i believe the drawing scales should match. Bcoz i just save as my destination file. But dint realised yesterday that the manholes were missing in my destination file...

In the destination file do a Zoom Extents then a Zoom Object. When asked to select the object use a (L)ast selection. Enter a height that would show your block.
You can also try a List with a Last selection and see what that shows.

what do u mean by Last selection??? the block doesnt show on the destination file...
i have tried turning off all the other layers.. and then tried zoom extents.. but i don't see anything..
i think last time when i tried pasting the block on my destination, because it said pasteclip duplicate destination of block XYZ ignored.....
I don't think so the blocks got pasted on the destination file...
But the question is how do i paste it, so that it shows up on my destination file?????

See this to explain the Last selection option.

Maybe it did and maybe it didn't. The steps I outlined will show if it did.
Can you paste the block in to a new drawing created from your template. BTW Is the block defined in your template?
