There is an issue with C3D2011 / AutoTURN 7 when importing a vehicle file. When you select 'Import Vehicle', the dialog box comes up to browse for the file to import, but once you click on a folder to navigate into, AutoCAD gets a fatal error. I have reproduced this on a clean Win7 x64 C3D2011 install.

I'd take this up with the makers at www.transoftsolutions.com on this one.

Is it a Civil 3D fatal error or an Autoturn fatal error? If it's a Civil 3D fatal error and you submitted the CER report with your email attached, I can look it up and see if the problem is a Civil 3D one or an Autoturn one.

I get the same thing, but with civil 3d 2010 and windows 7.
It states that it is an autocad error.
Unhandled access violation reading 0x0020 exception at 1c176dc1h.
Any help would be appreciated, no US fire trucks in there without importing.

I submitted my error report with my email address while logged in to the forums. I was going to attach my error log, but this forum apparently does not allow the extension. Eagerly awaiting any info. Thanks for whatever you can provide.

Hi Richard,
Thanks for the information. I did look up the CER and found that the error is happening within the AutoTurn moduule - the only comments that I see indicates that the error happens when selecting or importing vehicles. I would contact Transoft tech support to see if they have any idea what might be going on - their technical support page can be found here.

Per Jason's response, I went through the Transoft Solutions support.
This is a known AUTOTURN issue. They have a newer version of autoturn available, which fixes the import problem on windows 7. I provided our license/MAP subscription info, and was given a download. 7.0.1....
It installs over the original, I did not need to uninstall first.
So, check with Transoft as Jason said, and have your license info handy, and you will (hopefully) soon be good to go!
