AutoCAD Civil 3D

When I do file new in 2012,  I get the following message:

"the following shorcuts in the search were invalid & ignored ...\\..\PROFILE-2008.DWT.LNK

Profile.dwt.lnk.

How did these old LDD dwt get into my 3d template and how do I get them out?

I don't think that is a template file but rather a link file. See this: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=8950243&linkID=9240617

If you don't need that LNK file tehn go to the directory refered in that message and just remove it. I hope this helps.
