can someone tell me why i keep getting this message Autocad Map Message - Incorrect cache file directory in the acadmap.ini file when i first start Civil 3d 2012 and open a drawing.

Hi,

I haven't seen this message at my start of Civil3D, but look to command _MAPOPTIONS (I think also MAPIOPTIONS has a directory to be defined), there you'll find settings for temp-folder. Try to change/to correct them.

I found out what it is. short story, after our company layed of a bunch of I.T. employees they put us on lock down for certain directories "C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\C3D 2012\MapCache\" being one of them. once i get that opened it should be good.
