I can't get the AutoCAD toolbars (Draw, Modify, etc) to come up in Civil 3D 2012. I can right click in the side area and I see AutoCAD, AutoCADWS, CIvil, but nothing comes up for AutoCAD. And under the View tab of the Ribbon, and under Toollbars, I don't even see AutoCAD under there. Anybody know how to get those back?

?? you say AUTOCAD. If AUTOCAD comes up it should have all the command toolbars that you need.

Can you switch your Workspace (2D Drafting & Annotations) and see if you can access any of those this way. Also set MENUBAR to 1 to see menus.
If you still cannot see these toolbars then you may need to go into your CUI dialog and reset your CUI in Customize tab of the CUI dialog by rt-click on CIVIL. I hope this helps.

That fixed it - I was able to access them from the Tools menu, and can now access it from the right click in the side area in the Civil 3D workspace now as well as from the Ribbon. I also got out and restarted it - the first time I tried was the first time I had run the program after installing, so maybe everything just hadn't finished compiling... Thanks for the help!

I am bringing AutoCAD toolbars into Civil 3D from the View menu on the right side, but they are locked and I am unable to move them from wherever they come up. How can I unlock the location of the toolbars?
Thanks!

If you right-click on a toolbar there should be the Lock Location option near the bottom.
Or what I do: leave them locked, but you can hold down Ctrl on the keyboard if you want to move them. This prevents moving them accidentally.
