AutoCAD Civil 3D

I just installed Civil 2009 and when I flip between model and paper space I
lose the annotation scale button on in the tray. It appears that autocad is
forcing me to use the viewport scale for my annotation scale. Can I get this
icon back for paper space?

I'm sure there is a correct answer, and this probably isn't it.

I'm new also. Actually I haven't even switch to a tab in 2009 until now

On the bottom it sais "paper" push that and the annotive scale comes back.

You'll also see them if you double-click on a viewport in paperspace.
