This is strange. I wanted to label just the alignment name in a couple of places. I have an Alignment Name Label Style that does this. I now notice that it will capitalize some of the lower case P's in the curve label. Not the line label just the curve. They're applying the same style. It also changes back to lower case if I drag the label.
The style has one component and that is the Alignment Name and has Preserve Case set.
That doesn't look like a capital P to me. It looks like a lower case p that has been shifted up so the bottom of it lines up with the bottom of the rest of the letters. Can you put a capital P in the label somewhere so we can see how it compares?
Your right. Lower case P. It's also doing it with lower case J's,G's and Q's.
This only happens on arcs. The Label style isn't very complicated. I've tried changing the anchor point and attachment and that doesn't have any affect.
I think this shifting would be less noticable with all caps.
Yeah. That's one reason I haven't notice it until now. Our convention is for all caps. Except I like to see the month in dates ad upper and lower. I've recently instituted that the iterations on a project should be in date format rather than Rev 1, Rev 2, Rev 3, etc. When things get complicate I feel an actual date helps.
I just went though this with one of our surveyors who doesn't like to make point groups for each days field work. What a PITA to decipher all the points in a multii-day job without a date and numbers that won't help either...

We always have a point group for each day. Maybe he was working with a Survey Database and didn't know the trick of adding those points to a single point group.
