keeping file name when clicking on shortcut (save as etc)

This would be whole Acad platform issue, but as there is no "wishes" forum in the basic discussion group, I post it here.

It takes an effort to re-type the file name during "save as", "export to autocad","etransmit" or other similar commands after clicking on folder shortcuts while browsing target directories - clicking on folder shortcuts should not change the dwg name.

thank you

I'm not positive but I think that once you have the browse box open that's a version of Windows Explored. So it may be an MS problem. What I use as a workaround is to copy the name of the file as soon as the browser opens then paste in back in when you've navigated to the folder you want.

Using Win 7, but I'm afraid it's not the op system issue though.
I'm sure this could be solved by application, MS Office or Adobe reader for instance recognize folder shortcuts as folders when clicking during "save as".

thanks, i'm using the copy-paste workaround as well, this is still.. clumsy
