copyrotate

i am asking myself for a long time why autocad (in my case civil 3d 2007) is not able to combine copy and rotate in one command. or am i only too stupid for that ?
the command would be perfect when it could perform multible copy (and rot) like the copy command in civil 3d.
can someone help me please???

hello jason:

i know the express (bonus) tools

as i posted originally i am looking for a command where i
(1) select object
(2) specify base point
(3) copy object to target point
(4) and rotate the object without switching between copy/ rotate/ move or what ever
(5) the steps (3)&(4) shall repeat until i quit

i think the only way toget such a thing is to make a vb macro

lg lukas

p.s. use a better processor

hi Rad Lazic

i have seen the copyrotate command of my wishes at a low end cad product. i forgot its name in the meantime (becker cad or something like that???)
i thought it would be very useful in civil 3d which i use.

do u want a screenshot if u dont believe?

how selecting the object then hitting the space bar? it scrolls through all
of those commands and you can grip move, then hit space bar to rotate, etc

How does that work, Dana? On my install spacebar is the same as Enter, which in my case just repeats the last command.

Or are you using 3DMOVE? I found the Help page, but I can't make it work.

you have to have something selected.

select anything so that you see its grips

then hit spacebar

it should toggle through move, copy, rotate, scale.

if it doesnt, i guess it is possible that there are different installs

Yup, that's what I did. Consistent response: repitition of last command. Don't suppose you know of a system variable or setting to control that?

ah

you need to grap the object

then actually grab a grip so it turns red

THEN it should work
