I had problems in the past with custom rectangular structures not displaying the true size on profile view. If you have a, say, 3500x900mm pit, it makes a big difference to see L or W on profile. If you happen to have anothe pipe running nearby it might show a clash with the pit on profile view if displaying the wrong dimension.
