Profile style from surface

I wish you could assign a profile and section style to a surface so profiles/sections could have styles assign automatically from the surface.

I agree this would be cool.

Something I just figured out recently was how to adjust the default styles.  Now when I create a profile from a surface it will default to my 'existing ground' style.  Profile by layout will default to my 'proposed ground' style.  Not what you're asking for I know, but 100 times better than without it!

But you probably already knew how to do that.
