Does anyone know if they are planning on making a version for MAC, and if they have, were to find it?

    Hi,

Autodesk stopped writing software for the MAC many years ago as it wasn't
    sufficiently profitable.

There is no plausible information to indicate that it would be a good use of
their resources to start again with MAC software..

Even though MAC's are becoming more popular?

    Hi Ben,

A doubling of MACs popularity - if it is occurring - would take it from
trivial to a bit better than trivial in the overall market place. Autodesk
might look at it again after it's held 30% of the market for 5 years

Parallel install of XP on an Intel based Mac is supposed to be very stable
    and fast.

    Although officially unsupported.

IOW, do it, and you're on your own.

Isn't that why we are all in here? We find ourselves on our own most of the
    time anyway!

You sure? It's XP, on an Intel based machine. What's unsupported about that?
    Seems perfectly legit to me.

Yeah yeah yeah fanboy....just go to the 'desk with a problem on that
machine that they can't solve - their backup is that it's not on the
    list of approved hardware :smileywink:

(talking to the others now) - you will very likely get help here, and I
know people who are doing it, but realize that you're stepping into an
area where you don't have a LOT of company.

I'd love to hear from someone who is using a mac. By default, I am the IT guy here now for this small business with 3 full time employees. (Scary!) I would like to spend more time doing billable stuff, and less time fiddling with PCs. By all the accounts I hear, there is much less user attention required for macs. If you know someone who is using a mac successfully, can you forward them my email address?
