Data Shortcut Sync

I have 48 data shortcuts in my corridor drawing. I realize that if I
save the resource drawing, the balloon notice appears, and maybe nothing
has changed but the drawing was saved, so the notice appears. If I
choose to sync through the notice, all the DS sync. If I choose to sync
manually through the prospector which shows me which alignments need to
be updated, I have to manually re-sync each profile related to that
alignment as well. In my case I have several ditch profiles associated
with the alignment. I'd like to see the associated SD references
re-sync when the parent is synced

Old post but I am in the same boat 5 years later.  I have about 20 data shortcuts for roadway alignments and probably 40 or so for underground utilities.  I frequently update the alignments and when the big baloon notification pops up in the lower right hand corner of my screen, I close it because I don't want to sit and wait for all the pipe networks to update when they do not need to.  I just want to update the alignment data shortcuts.  Problem is, I can only click one at a time so I have to click 20 times to update the alignments.

Is there a way to only update all alignment data shortcuts?

Close the drawing and reopen?

Yeah that is what I finally ended up doing.  Although, a simple button to click on and synchronize data shortcuts that you highlight in a list would really, really be nice.

I know, I have a beef with this too.
For example, I have a few alignments in one drawing, some in another. I have a pipe network in one drawing and a different pipe network in another. I have a few surfaces in another drawing. Let's say all these are d-reffed into my current drawing.
Now lets say I edit one of my alignments in its drawing, and save the drawing. I switch back to my current drawing and the bubble pops up. Why on earth does it synchronize all those d-reffs from all those different drawings? The pipe network & surface drawings weren't even touched, but they will all get sync'd. Bizarre, and time wasting!  Smiley Mad
