Hello everyone
I have a question about doing hydrology calculations.
Currently I use AES to do my calcs.
And I found out that SSA does not handle some counties in Southern California.
What about Hydraflow Express, does it handle counties in Southern California?
Will Autodesk provide this in the future?
Thanks for your input.
You need to use the method prescribed by the reviewing department to get plans approved. If SSA cannot do that method, you shouldn't use it. BTW, what is the method? Or is the problem that SSA presets do not include the proper storm event settings?
As I mentioned, I currently use AES to do my calcs.
See the following PDF:
On page 8 it states which methods it supports, and on page 9 it lists the ones that it does not support.
I do a lot of hydrology studies for Los Angeles County, San Bernardino County, Orange County and Riverside County.
It would be nice if SSA supported these counties.
As for the storm event settings, that is not an issue.
SSA does not have the option to input other coefficients as perscribed by the reviewing agency.
What about Hydraflow Hydrographs Extension, does anyone know if it supports the counties mentioned above?
I've used the hydraflows extensions for years before Autodesk purchased it. It is made up of very simple programs with less capabilities than SSA. The methods included with the extensions include SCS-TR55, rational method, and modified rational method. I'm not familiar with the Southern California methods, but I think I can confidently say that if SSA cannot do it, the extensions will not either.
just check, does anyon us SSA in southern California Counties?
I like to to know which Counties.
