SSA output results don't seem to make sense. Simple Storm water model

Hello,

I would like some help please, i need to figure what's going with my model. I have a very simple model of concrete pipes and mainholes, with few catch basin areras.
When i run the result and go to plot, two of the pipes in system are modeled as full at time 0. I dont understand why.
Can anyone please look at the  file and check link 28, and link03 and tell me why are they modeled as full, that doesnt make any sense. I am not sure if it is a mistake in my model or a flaw in the software. I spent 2 days and  i still cant figure it out.
Any help is highly appreciated.
I can't attach the file. I will email it to you. I attached an image of the results i am getting.
Thank you in advance.

Tony

Not that I can help, but you will get better responses if you attach the file.  Is there a reason you cannot attach it?  Rename the suffix to ".txt" if that is your problem.

Do you mean just in the Profile graphic? The time series plot and table show zero with peaks around the 12th hour.

Please see the attached profile. Link 3 is showing at full capacity, how is that  possible ?

Right, the profile graphic looks wrong at startup. Take a look at the time series for this link though.

I did look at it, it starting full at time zero which doesnt make any sense.

The time series doesn't show depth until 00:54:05 for me. Is that what you get?

I get the same results for the table, but i am not sure what's happening with the profile plot.

Change your routing method from kinematic to hydrodynamic and see what you think.

Hi fcernst,
I tried it with hydrodynamic and it is working fine.
Any ideas why it didn't work with kinematic ? is hydrodynamic as good as kinematic ?

Thank you

The kinematic option does not like the multiple conduits attached to Jun-02.

Lowering the Curve Numbers and areas in Basin 0.72 and 0.29, so there is no runoff (0 cfs) generated, still creates the bogus profile.

Altogether deleting links 28 and 30, results in Link-03 looking normal.

Also kinematic wave can only convey flows up to the links design capacity (no pressure flow), and subasin 0.5DA1-IMP is generating runoff in excess of Link-03's capacity.

fcernst,
Can you please help me again. I have a problem that i have been trying so hard to solve without luck.
it is a really simple model and i used hydrodynamic like you told me before, but the results dont make any sense. The energy grade line is higher than the hydraulic grade line at the Manhole - which i think it is impossible. Please see the file attached.
