I'm modeling a complicated hydraulic structure in SSA with one node and multiple links upstream and downstream. Technically, a head loss coefficient is between 0 and 1.0, but if I sum the head loss coefficients applicable to this structure, it would be 3. I've tried using 1.0 and 3.0 and there is an increase in water surface elevations upstream of the node, but a decrease at the node itself using 3.0. Does SSA recognize that the entered K > 1.0 or does it use the value entered and calculate the head loss the same?
