RE: Inlet bypass for "combination inlets on grade" and "inlet depression":

Modeling the same storm sewer system that has combination inlets on grade with 2" depression will produce different bypass results in each version.

Why? Adding inlet depression to the design in the 2005 version affects bypass results whereas it does not affect bypass in the 2008 version. If the

2008 version is correct, then would it be appropriate to model a depressed combination inlet on grade by leaving the depression value at "zero" but increasing the gutter cross slope to a value that approximates the steep cross slope caused by the depressed inlet?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
