where do textures/materials come from?

I've been asked to find out why when we eTransmit certain drawings, they contain texture files. It's easy enough to set up a transmittal that doesn't include them but I'm not sure why they are being referenced in the first place. when I make a blank drawing from our template & etransmit, it doesn't look for any but we have drawings that really don't seem to have much c3D data in them but they are finding textures for some reason. just wondering if it is slowing dwgs down.

It's probably in a style somewhere. There are lots of styles that use materials; surface, pipe, code set styke...

It won't slow anything down. Just leave them in the etransmit.

Keep in mind that the materials (jpeg files) can inflate the e-transmit file size.
