I have created a new surface and an existing surface. I am wanting to find the volume between the 2. I have gone to the analyze tab, then select volumes, but all I get is "AeccReportSurfaceVolume" on the command line. Can someone set me straight on what to do next? THX

Hi,
To create Volume you need to have Volume Surface which will be created by comparing two existing surfaces (ie. EG and FG). Then if you go to Surface Properties, Statistics tab, you will see the volumes there.
Other way is to go into Volume Panorama and create new Entry in there. See picture.
Type AeccReportSurfaceVolume or go to Analyze ribbon> Volumes.
that doesnt' give me anything. When I go to volumes in the analyze tab, it just puts AeccReportSurfaceVolume on the command line but no window pops up.
Can you run ReportSurfaceVolume command (same command)? If this does not work then the issue you have is due to the issue in your user settings.
In that case you may do this to reset: http://usa.autodesk.com/getdoc/id=TS1108208
Hi Mike-
Maybe the dialog is opening off screen. Have a look at this blog post for more information: http://www.civil3d.com/2010/09/autocad-dialogs-opening-off-screen-seem-like-lock-up/
Hope this helps!
Seth,
Can you please read this post and give me your thoughts? thank you!
thanks. No, that command doesnt do anything. I'll try the registry edit. Thanks for the help.
I had the same problem once at least I thought so. Turns out my Panorama window was docked on the upper right and I just didn't notice it there.
