using the same pc3 file for C3D 2008 and C3D 2010

Has anyone experienced any issues with using the same .pc3 file to plot in C3D 2008 and C3D 2010?

We haven't made the transition totally to C3D 2010. Some folks are still plotting from 2008 while some of us are plotting from 2010 and have been for a month and I haven't noticed any issues until today. Today, when I plot from 2008 using the HP 4020ps.pc3 file, everything is fine. I opened up 2010 and tried plotting and its giving me the dialog box 'Update PC3 file with new Printer. Yesterday, I plotted from 2010. I'm very confused now. At the last firm I worked, we had people plotting from C3D 2008 and LDD 07 and we never had any issues using the same .pc3 file.

Your .pc3 plotter configuration file name should be PRECISELY the same as
your printer name.

I tested it by creating another pc3 file keeping the HPGL2 in the name to match the printer name and it still did the same thing when I printed from 2010 after printing from 2008. It also did the same thing when I printed vise versa. It has to be something to do with the versions (08 and 10) with the 4020ps plotter.

Looks like the only fix is to create a 2010 plotters folder and map out my options in C3D 2010 to point to this folder and then update the pc3 file when I plot and just keep the pc3 files separate for both versions.

That's exactly what I do. I have folders on the network for 2009, 2010
with those types of things in them, Plotter setups (pc3), plot styles,
templates, etc. Then in the options, I can point to the separate
folders depending on the version.

We had the same issue when we switched from C3D 2008 to C3D 2010.
Once we upgraded the printer drivers and changed the pc3 file to 2010 it seemed to fix the problem for now.
Suggest you set up drivers and pc3 files in separate folders for 2008 and 2010 and path them correctly.
Have you run into any problems plotting SID files or large image file in 2010?
