unstacking fractions in a label show up like this 1 1#2

when i type a fraction in a label the fraction is alwas stacked i have to unstack the fraction but when i unstake the fraction the fraction show up like this 1 1#2. any thoughts about how to fix this? this only happens on one computer when a different user use that same drawing the fraction allways show up unstaked 1 1/2.

Sounds like you are using base autocad mtext. highlight just the fraction the text, then right-click and select Stack Properties. From there you can choose the type of fraction you want. You may wish to click the Autostack Settings to set the default behavior.

 

The  # in the 1#2 is a way of forcing the autostack to the opposite of the default (i.e. vertical vs diagonal stacking). Once you change your defualts the # should go away.

the fraction shows up fine in mtext. the problem is when i add/edit text to a civil label, see attachment.
