transparency in profile view style

I'm have a profile view styles, I want the horz and vert line screen.

I set the color and the transparency for the layer they are display on.

When I plot, the lines are not screen, however normal text on the same layer is screen.

is this a bug, or is there another setting.

Is the linetype and lineweight ByLayer in the profile view style? I think if its ByBlock it prints to what ever the profile view object is on.

in the style component the plot is set 'byblock" and is gray out. 

If I change the layer the style is inserted,  the style will be screen, not what I want.

I don't think you can screen individual Civil 3D object components at this time, hopefully in the future it will work. A workaround would be to create another profile view object with the grid showing and put it on top of the other one with a style to not show the grid. The downside is Civil 3D sometimes gets confused on which profile view you want to use.
