surface spot elevations having diffent color for different ranges.

I'm trying to create a cut and fill map and was wondering if anyone was succefull at labeling a surface with spot grades that have different colors according to what range they belong to. For instance, If I have a cut and fill surface with 10ft cut (max) and 10ft fill(max), Then from elev 10 to 5 the spot grades would be light green, 5 to 0 the spot grades would be dark green, 0 to -5 light red, -5 to -10 dark red.

I think this can be done using expression, but I not sure what the formula has to be.

Any other other ideas on how accomplish this are welcome.

With your variable ranges, I do not think this is possible. An expression does not provide a return value that is usable for specifying specific colors. Also, the color picker dialog does not allow for expression variable names.

Can only do cut and fill i.e positive or negative values only
