stop block cycle with ctrl key

here is a delima, I'm using Civil 3d 2010, and I insert a block with mult. inserting point, press the CTRL and cycle to the insert location I want, then I osnap to the location on the drawing.

the delima is, I use ctrl-rt-click (default) to get the osnap list and pick the osnap, however it is still in the cycle mode, so I can not get the osnap mode.

How do you stop the cycle.

Thanks

I don't know of a way to stop the cycle but, you can type in the shortcut for the osnap (end, nea, cen) instead of using the context menu for snaps.

True, I do type the osnap command for the for the one use mostly, End, app, near, mid, ins, int

I do not know all the osnap commands such as between two points. Yes I could look it up, but I do not use if offen

and some I just keep hitting the wrong keys, my problem.

Anyway this is what I have been doing.

I setup shortcut keys on all the F* buttons, I find that to be the quickest for me.
