"Ghost" Annotative Images

Hi,

When I select an annotative object to move, for example, "ghost" images of all the annotative scales available become visible and often block the view of actual linework in drawings.  This makes moving the object a bit of a guessing a game since I can't really see where I'm moving it to.  The attached images give an example of what this ghosting looks like.

Does anyone know if there's a way to get rid of this ghosting feature?  I haven't found it useful, but I it has been problematic.

Thanks for your help!
