I am not quite sure about all your problems, but it appears that when your
25' offset crosses itself near the end, problems arise.
I moved your ending point further than 25' from your orig. center line and
things seem to self-correct.

yes, it's me again. no, i still cannot get this to work.
i am attaching the file that is giving me heartburn. if anyone would like
to take a crack at getting this to work, i would appreciate any feedback.
i would like to see a centerline and 25' lt and 25' rt offset in profile
view. in the attached file, any offset over 7' gives an unexpected output.
i have gone so far as to create a new file import the points, set up a
surface, etc. i have sampled contours, adjusted weeding factors.
basically i have started from scratch and i still get the errors in output.
in a previous post, i thought that i had figured out a work around to this
problem. now that i have moved on to a different alignment, the problem is
back and the work around doesn't work.
if there is something that i am missing, please put me out of my misery
before i throw myself under a bus.
