Did you have the Properties Palette open when you selected the points?  If so, try again, but make sure the Properties Palette is closed first.

All you need to do is to have your drawing with point groups open and not current and your destination drawing current. Then go to settings tab of current drawing and drag and drop your point group. That should work.

I think that crashing problem was fixed in 2010, but it can still be slow selecting a lot of points if your Properties Palette is open.

Thanks again for the information Sinc.  We have 2011 but have not made the move to it yet.  Hope to by end of yr.
