pipe network fatal error

We are having trouble with one of our C3D 2013 seats crashing (giving a fatal error) when trying to edit or do anything with a pipe network. The drawings work fine on other computers. Has anyone ran into this problem? I am trying to keep from having to remove and reinstall the software.

I would first turn off hardware acceleration. Second, make sure that that workstation is pointing to the correct Pipe Network Catalog. Third, open the drawing by first running the RECOVER command within a blank drawing. Once you have opened the drawing run the -PURGE command and select R for regapps. Last but not least run the audit command. See if that helps. Maybe install Service Pack.1

To resolve your Support Request, we need additional information from you.
Please, provide the following files:

- install .log files.
- a screenshot of the error message.

Also, I would like to ask you to reproduce the fatal error and send to us the CER. Please, inform the e-mail used in the CER so we can search your report.

Best Regards,

Naty

I am having the exact same problem.  I have a saved drawing that works.  I rename the file and save as to protect the orginal file.  I then change one tiny pipe cleanout by moving it. I save the drawing, then I can never open it again.  I get a fatal error - it will not open the drawing and I cannot even recover it.  Can do absolutely nothing with the file after that.   All I did was move one cleanout.  Utter disaster.  Does this have anything to do with Autodesk 360?

For both posters experiencing fatal errors - could you send in a CER and let us know the email address you used when you send in the report?  That will help us identify the crash.

Also, please note that Update 2 for Civil 3D 2012 has been posted and it might be a good idea to install that first and re-test.

Based on WFB's comment below, I've removed the suggestion to install Update 2 for C3D 2012.
