parenting edge of pavement alignments with road CL alignment

I am new to C3D. I have uesd Eagle Pt for years (moan). I have taken a training class and I am now working on my first project. I am designing a road with tight radius curves. County standards require that the shoulders be widened for these curves. I created an alignment for the CL and then polylines for the edge of pavement. I coverted the EOP polylines to alignments and created a corridor from the CL alignment. Now I want to be able to edit the CL alignment and have the EOP alignments follow it since my road assembly looks for these EOP alignments to define the road width. Can this somehow be done?

Parallel alignments can't be dynamically linked with CL alignments. For
each CL edit you'll need to manually edit each EOP as well. Put it in the
wishlist pile.

Disappointing ... but thanks Matt!

I have only run through tutorials and webcasts so I am not one to give
advice on C3D, but it seems to me that the shoulders could be widened via
the assembly could it not? That way you would not need to maintain multiple
alignments to achieve the widening.

Yes, I used to do that in roadcalc by applying templates with various widths to ranges of stations. I was simply hoping to find an easier way to take advantage of C3D dynamic trickle down capabilities.

Hypothetically, you could write a pretty simple modification to the shoulder
subassembly to have it look at the alignment, check for a curve section,
then for radius, then modify as needed.

Let me know if you're interested in talking further....

Come to think of it James, now that you spelled it out, the
"LaneOutsideSuperWithWidening accomplishes this almost. It does it when a
station is in a superelevation condition and it calculates the new radius
based o na few factors. SDEVIN, take a look at this subassembly to see if
you can make it work.

James - I would definitely like help on this. I've been just spinning my wheels otherwise.

thanks,
