migrating styles, settings and figure prefix database....

....from 2010 to 2011.  In previous versions I've always opened up the AutocadCivil 3D (Imperial) NCS.dwt and dragged styles from my .dwt to the NCS dwt to ensure I had the latest and greatest.  This is tedious.  I've searched and found several ways that include aeccimportstyles and aeccimportstylesandsettings and inserting NCS.dwt into my .dwt as a block and then exploding.  So far, I like inserting the NCS into mine the best, but what is the best method?

Also, is it possible to migrate Figure Prefix Databases and Linework Code Sets to our new dwt?  If so, how?

Our surveyors have their own .dwt and network drive that their Survey Databases are on.  I'm working with them to have 1 template so that when they send us a basemap, our design styles are in it.  Drag/Drop doesn't work on Figure Prefix Database or Linework Code Sets.

Thanks, Shawn

Hi Shawn,

Figure Prefix Database and Linework Code Sets are extranal files and not part of the DWT. You can access them at C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\C3D 2012\enu\Survey directory (for 2012 version). All you need to do is to either copy these files into central location and point to it by each machine or copy these files in the directory mentioned above.

For other question I think using those two command you mentioned would be teh best way. I hope this helps.
