importing XML into LDT 2005 from C3D 2005

I'm importing a XML file into LDT 2005 that was created in C3D 2005. The method I have in C3D 2005 for creating the XML is Pick or Filter. I used the Pick Method and selected all my Xsections profile objects, surface object and the point objects. Then open the same C3D drawing in LDT 2005 and run the import XML command I set it up to import all the points , surfaces, alignments Vert/Xsections. the Points , surfces, horizontal alignments where imported to the drawing and into the data base. The Vert alignments and the Xsection data where not imported to the drawing or the data base. I'm I missing a step here?
