importing Microstation files

I have read the help files on this topic and they direct you to import under the file menu. The import menu does not contain any of the options for importing drawings that are created in another program that the help file states. Am I missing something?

I believe you need to access the import command through the Map menu.
Map > Tools > Import.
Alternatively, type "mapimport" in the command line

Thanks for the quick reply. I found the info and am able to import the file. Note to Autodesk-revise the help menu in C3d or add the menu and commands that are in the help file to the program.

Hi,

If you look in the help file, on each page you'll find a tool to report
failures in the help directly to Autodesk.

I've done this and received personal thanks from the Help support team.

Writing to here may or may not get through to Autodesk.

Note to the user:

Notice that the Help Files are pretty much color coded. Civil 3D has GREEN
at the top and Map Help has MAGENTA.
