hello all, happy holidays...
so i have some contours from an 1998 autocad dwg (and by contours i mean polylines drawn in by hand)
i gave these contours elevation values thru the properties manager and am now trying to build the surface from these contours (not ideal but that is all the info i have to go on)
now, i am getting an error under the Surface/Utilities/Check for Contour Problems...
I know there is a way to tell Civil 3d to build the surface dispite the errors, i am just not sure how since i have never used civil 3d.
I am trying to create the surface in civil 3d and then export (thru xml) into ldd.
anyone out there know what i am doing wrong, thx
Try using Map clean up tools to get rid of the errors. If you created the contours using plines and there area areas that overlap, self interstect, etc... you will get an error. You will find that Map will clean all of those up for you quickly.
