grading infill not showing

I am having trouble with the grading infill on one of my projects. The inrfill diamonds are visible but the surface in the infill area is not 0present. Does anyone have any suggestions? When I am using the grading to create the infill, the outline of the infill area does not show up and it automatically "kicks out". I am working in 2009. Thank you!

After you had this problem:

1. Did you re-start Civil 3D?
2. Did you re-boot?
3. Have you run a repair of your Civil 3D Installation.

None of the above was addressed.

I'm having that same problem. Restarted, rebooted, and re-opend the drawing. Audit is coming up with zero errors. The surface seems to only be able to recognize eight different infills. Any ideas?

This is a shaky solution but at least you will have a surface with no holes in it.

- create multiple grading groups within your site; each with however many grading infills it will let you do
- create surfaces from those grading groups
- in the prospector tab of toolspace, right click on surfaces, create new
- expand the list for the new surface
- under definition, right click on edits, select paste surface
- add the surfaces you created from the grading groups

Something to note about this method, you cannot delete the grading surfaces or it will delete the part of the main surface that is referencing that surface. Like I said before, it is a shaky solution but there you have it. I hope it helps. Edited by: dabneyveater5293 on Mar 26, 2010 7:34 PM

having the same problem when i use the "create feature lines from object" tool. When I use the "Draw Feature Lines" tool, the infill works. It is a bug.

Draw a feature line on one of the edges of the infil that is not included in the surface - seems to work, the infills then get included in the surface, happens mostly when feature lines are created from objects.
