exporting contours from autocad civil 3d to autocad

hey,

i want to export civil 3d contours to autocad but flattening the contours and still defining the elevations of of the contour. is this possible ?

You can export the contours with elevations, or flattened to zero.  What you export depends on the surface style setting you're using when you run the export command.  You could also export the contour labels if you want to show the elevation of the flattened polylines.

But please don't pass these on to anyone who needs to recreate the surface...... export the surface as an XML or extract the dtm triangles and WBLOCK them instead.
